Seen this Movie?..

December 21, 2009

The Time Traveller’s Wife’s  - Weaved in and out of different time zones seems confusing but its was nicely executed on this movie. Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana were excellent in their acting, the story is complex wherein I was very interested to follow Eric Bana’s character from the very beginning of this film.  A nice and old-fashioned romance with a few tears from the emotional goodbyes on the end part, this is quite an enjoyable movie experience.

I haven’t read the novel, but I guess the movie has an interesting plot that will draw attention to moviegoers elsewhere.  Rachel McAdams is really stunning with such timeless appeal all throughout this movie. Best to watch this movie with a cup of coffee with your special someone.

6bswj1w2Dragon Wars -
I’m very much disappointed with this movie, it didn’t work at all! South Korean

director/screenwriter Hyung Rae Shim’s "genuine concept" and story didn’t materialize that big on screen - characters wasn’t that great when it comes to connecting to what was happening on this movie. Definitely bad acting, it’s just like asking WHAT, WHERE and WHEN all through out. TV series actors could have perform much better acting than the d-war casts (consider Heroes or Smallville maybe)?  Painful when you just bring-IN characters that aren’t supportive and with lame actions - that friend of his should be dead, wtf is he doin there man!.

Only nice about this war is the war itself - two confused giant snakes that  are  fighting to become a flying dragon?.. hmmm great! I wonder if those two dragon wannabes are both females or the other one might be gay and so jealous - haha.
And I like the framing of the scene at the end part coz it’s like the movie 300 again infused on that particular battle field and the good Imoogi dragon cried when it left. Uhhhh sad!.. will there be a sequel? Come on!..

This should have been released directly on a DVD, one of those movies with a very nice poster art and trailer but never on the actual movie itself just like the movie "Jumper". Who could ever thought it’s like "the matrix" when all they have to do is to disappear from  one scene to another. Anywhere is possible - yeah I know for sure!. Well, it entirely sucks!

From here, I’ll try to grab a new DVD title soon and hope it’ll be much better than D-WAR and the Jumper. It’s been ages since I last wrote here..

Who doesn’t hate me?

September 5, 2007

Bb
T
he one thing people (friends or family) say they get
irritated about you?
They say I’m
insensitive, very picky, perfectionist (which I doubt), annoying (bugger), and
have a short span of attention.

What irritates you most about people? People who are arrogant and
always acting most of the time. People who always doesn’t think
for themselves.

What famous person do you think you most resemble? Jim Carrey, a bit like him after a serious car accident..
(haha!) But I think the jaw line and some facial expression makes it.

Kamukha_ko
W
hat
famous person do other people tell you most resemble?
A character from a Korean TV series (?) And when I was a kid
my mom keeps on saying that I looked like Billy Crawford or Jackie Chan.

List the five grooming items that you can’t live without? My shaver, hair gum & some moisturizers, toothbrush,
and Nivea skin products.

Where do you spray fragrance on your body that gets the
best response from babes?
I usually spray
it on my collar bone or chest.

If you could trade one body part with anyone you know,
what would it be, and withBb2_1
whom would you trade?
It would be cool to trade my chest with Brooke Burk, just
to have a nice feel of it for one day. Damn, she’s hot!

What’s the last movie you saw? The Holiday - good acting and Diaz is such a charm.  And Without a paddle (the call of the wild. the thrill of
adventure. the mistake of a lifetime.) It was quite fun.

Maya Civilization - Apocalypto

February 26, 2007

Apocalyptobig This is an exciting quality movie that’s more Apocalypto2genuine in prod design and worth watching. When looking back on past episodes of "Survivor: Guatemala" , it gave me an idea on how and why they built those pyramids back time - presumably not only as the closest place to the heavens but to roll-down headless bodies and to sanctify it as offerings to their gods.

The movie is a tale of the ancient Maya civilization that believed Rudy_youngblood2in a cyclical nature of time (sun and moon as celestial objects) - and to wish for someone to have a good journey before dying.

Rudy_youngblood1Run time for this movie is more than 2 hrs, and yet IApocalypto4 haven’t felt sleepy and tired following the fearful chasing adventure of Apocalypto. Brutal and violent in some parts but it was well-made adventure from Gibson. Casts were fascinating and unimaginable, seems that they own the civilization and weren’t just making a movie.

Life Worth Payin

January 26, 2007

Haven’t anticipated workin here in Davao for more than a year now. Work has been very boring and predictable that I feel so "generic" in terms of my routine - and when will I get my next "work-deal"?  Only heaven knhows!…  My allowances from my previous relocation has been cut-off, as required - and spendin money for my bills and rent would be much harder for me now.  (hope i won’t be evicted soon…) And if this will happen and me gettin broke, I’m planning if I can get extra income from my agent.  hmmm…

Cliff4
Just
last year, I told myself that I can be very independent living away from my family and pretty much proven it until today.  And my ma would be very proud of me. Thinkin, that her son had sacrificed enough to make his own decisions on what food to eat and when to do laundry.  However, I’m disappointed of what I have here and I’m stupid if I’ll say that I still enjoy what I get from my job.  It may be sad but quite true.

A Worthy Replacement

July 12, 2006

130_v2_v3x_burntorange_large_66c88_2 I already sold my n70 in exchange of this very slim Motorola V3x - not bad! I guess this phone would somehow define my personality. One of the features I like on my V3x is the VOICE recognition dialling - I just have to say a name entry in my phonebook or some program menu then she talks back and executes the command. Quite Fascinating for a sleek phone type.

Performance is also impressive, 3G capable with its VGA camera for 2 way video calling and expandable external memory card up to 1Gig. For now I can store videos for an hour and download more MP3’s since I have a 258mb TransFlash card. It doesn’t have a radio unlike my old N70 but still I can select great tracks on my Audio Player.

Though it has a poor outer display and the speaker is located at the back of the phone itself. But still, the main display is superb and the keypad design ROCKS! My V3x is a worthy replacement and absolutely brilliant I guess!Motov3x1

I got mine in Dark Blue color and it’s the best phone I ever had. With all of its functionality and features, it is also a winner of the Best 3GSM handset at the 2006 3GSM awards…

More Indie Music

April 14, 2006

Niko2

I’m anticipating the release of their whole album for this year since they’ve been doin well with their kind of music (indie/brazilian/latin/elctronic genre.) I love every beat on it and the genuine feel of brazilian music pumpin on each track.  It’s so cool listening to them like you’re sippin your pineapple juice on the beach under the heat of the sun (it’s somewhat a beach music to me.)  With their music, the trick is on "the beats" wherein no group could do except them.  Definitely, nice listening to "Ritmo Batida" and "At the Summit Remix".

Nicole Severino(aka Nyko Maca) on vocals, Rick Sanchez on classical guitar, and Madz Abubakar(aka Neon8) on beats and bassline programing.

She’s hotter than ever.. Her recent music videos were nicely seductive and shes using what her mom gave her to work it out. Shes an explosive to me! But still, shes really a great singer..
